Jon Voight

Jonathan ‘Jon’ Vincent Voight, is an Academy Award Winning American Actor who was born in Yonkers, New York of German and Slovak descent, in 1938. After graduating with a Degree in Art from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., he moved to New York where he began his illustrious and highly successful career. In addition to being awarded an Oscar, and nominated for four, he has also won four Golden Globe Awards and was nominated for eleven.

In the early years of his career, after becoming a movie and television star, Jon was an anti-war activist during the Vietnam War, where he sided with his liberal colleagues. Jon has been quoted as saying, “I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields, and slaughter two and a half million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam…We were traumatized in the sixties and all of that behavior….saying ‘all we need is love’. It was because we could not identify evil…we didn’t want to believe in evil, so we just hid from it. It was a very disturbing time.” He also said, “I went to Russia in 1991, right in the middle of glasnost. It was an amazing experience, to see what socialism and communism does to people. People have no enthusiasm. [No Freedom]…Once you see that, you can’t forget it. I don’t want people to have the feeling of hopelessness I witnessed there; when you’re working for the government and you don’t have the Freedom to do the things that you love….I’m interested in knowing about the truth, and acting on it, that’s it.”

In an interview on Life, Liberty and Levin, with Fox News Host, Mark Levin, Jon Voight was asked when exactly did he change from being a liberal Democrat to becoming a Conservative Republican. Jon began to discuss the United States’ involvement in the Vietnam War, of which he was a liberal anti-war activist. He said, “I fell into that crowd in my industry [acting], and bought into the propaganda of those people [Hollywood] [who] are just trying to get a job, so it’s important for them to be politically aligned too. So, I was one of those guys, [typical Hollywood liberal], I believed. And then what happened, well there were people in the streets and very effective of what’s going on now. Two and a half million people were killed because we pulled out of Vietnam. This is the signature of the left. They create this chaos and horror, then they walk away. They take no responsibility for it. I remember [after our withdrawal from Vietnam], Joan Baez had a little piece in the paper, and it was the only single voice from [against] all of the left…and she was put aside for it. And I thought to myself, she’s right and we were wrong. That was the turning point, and it took a long time because propaganda is dangerous, it gets into our system…..And it took me a long while to pull completely out of it, but little by little I did. And then I sought the answers, much like Reagan did when he said, ‘I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me.’ Well, to some degree the same thing happened to me. We simply have lost something along the way, but it hasn’t been our fault. We’ve been attacked, by insidious, and I would say evil force. And I’ve traced that and I know a little bit about it. So, I know what the battle is. The battle has been raging and it’s re-emerged in this country in full force, and that’s what we’re dealing with now. We have to keep focus and keep battling for what is true, and things will change, because truth will prevail.”

Mark Levin went on to ask Jon Voight how he became a Trump supporter and he said, “But I looked at the world and what was left from the past years, and the world was in chaos, terrorism had swept across the world….So you needed someone with tremendous strength and someone who could see clearly what the damage was and what had to be addressed. You needed someone who was a doer, somebody who solved problems, who got up in the morning to solve problems…and then on the home front, we had terrible joblessness and a failing economy…so much going on. So, I’m looking like a casting director in a film, I’m looking. Who’s the guy who can handle this? As I watched, and I saw Donald Trump…..had the clarity, this immigration situation, which had to be addressed, that wasn’t addressed for years…and the difference between Donald Trump…he’s gonna do something about it. And as I saw him focusing on just the clear common sense of trade deals, and ideas, we’re gonna have politicians sitting down with these people and negotiating treaties, this was an eye opener for me.”

On October 12, 2021, Jon Voight posted a two part video on his Twitter page, addressed directly to California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom, regarding the new legislation he recently signed into law, requiring large stores to maintain a ‘reasonable selection’ and a gender-neutral section for children’s items and toys. Jon said, “This is a disgrace to the American dream. This is a disgrace to our Constitution, our God-given rights and morals. You are a disgrace to mankind, you’re a weak man who can’t stand for truths. You have double-talked our rights. We’re a nation of our Constitution that was given by our forefathers. It’s a special code of truths. Our children of yesteryear have grown to be scholars with honors, ones of creativity. Now you’re helping to change what God has asked of all. You have given our rights to the devil and this is not God‘s plan. Yes, freedom of speech of one’s own truth, but not to force, to change the rules to a rule of chaos. To let all be what they want to be: a man, woman, gay, left, right, it’s a plan of one’s own rights. Yes, but not to pledge our nation’s children. Don’t push the chaos and confusion on their young psyches. Let the force of God‘s plan be the truth, the way God intended. We’re a nation of God’s honor and respect for all souls: one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.” 

Jon went on to say in his second video, “You’re a gift from God, each soul, and now this new line of truths are lies. They are preaching lies for all of us to take those ‘truths,’ their truths; and this is destroying our new children’s future. Stand up now, speak loud and let us bring back our true gift of God, the gift of our Ten Commandments. They pushed the lie: the lie of masks, the lie of shots, now this lie; to show it’s OK to be unsure of one’s role of femininity or masculinity. I’m for freedom of one’s own body, but keep to one’s own. Don’t show it’s okay for our children to convert this to our society. Let’s stand for our God given morals. Let us teach the children love and respect for one’s choices, but let our dream, our American Constitution be allowed. Let our American flag with her stripes, her stars, her honor, her truths, wave proudly for the respect she has fought for, for her dreams, her freedom, her truth, and her heroes and the greatest gift: Freedom, Honor, and Love for all life. Jon Voight has not only led the way for many of Hollywood’s Conservatives to finally stand up and speak out for the Truth, but he has also become an encouraging voice of wisdom, common sense and Patriotism; Honoring God for the blessings of America. Jon has been quoted as stating a warning to the American people, that with Joe Biden as president, he said “We’re heading down a street that has no name now. We must not allow our nation to crumble. This is what they want, to destroy America. Let me warn you all that we are in great danger if we fall under a Biden administration.”
